
OUR HISTORY
The IPEN Brazil (Pan-American Institute of Naval and Ocean Engineering of Brazil) is a non-profit institution that was founded on June 2nd, 1966, during a Congress held in Rio de Janeiro, convened by SOBENA (Brazilian Society of Naval Engineering). In the year 2014, IPIN Americas was created to be the holding company for the Pan-American institutes in each member country.
The member countries of IPIN are: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Spain and Portugal have become associated with the COPINAVAL congresses, which are held every two years by a member country.
